Historical Reflections - 2023

The Baton of Ages

From heaven’s throne the Kingdom crashes down,
An angel’s war cry shakes the starry crown.
The buried prophets, murdered dreams reborn,
Rise through their visions, ancient oaths now sworn.

Heaven storms forth in fury, fierce and free,
“The Kingdom comes!”—it reigns eternally.
Lightning cascades across the trembling lands,
While thunder roars and trumpet voices stand.

From every shore and city voices rise,
From every realm the same fierce answer cries:
“Woe!” it spirals, grinding earth to dust,
As sky and world convulse in sacred thrust.

The mighty thrones are toppled, cast aside,
Yet in the seer’s gaze the truth abides.
Though mortal eyes may never pierce the veil,
The end of ages burns—it shall prevail.

Soli Deo Gloria.
